Covering 200,000 acres, Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in ND.

With a population of just over 7,000, Devils Lake has a friendly hometown atmosphere set in a sportsman’s paradise. Its namesake lake is home to world-class fishing year-round, with anglers coming from everywhere to catch the abundant perch, walleye, bass and northern pike.

The rolling hills and game preserves in the area are home to bison, elk, white-tailed deer, prairie dogs, and numerous species of waterfowl, songbirds and shorebirds.

Lake Region State College in Devils Lake offers education and training in a variety of fields of study. Other nearby options are Cankdeska Cikana Community College located in Fort Totten, about 15 miles southwest of Devils Lake, and Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, about 90 miles northwest of Devils Lake.
