The Bismarck Public School District has 16 public elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools. Nine private schools in Bismarck serve a variety of grade ranges. The Mandan Public School District has two high schools, one middle school and six elementary schools. Three private schools in Mandan serve students ranging from pre-kindergarten to ninth grade. Area students in grades 10–12 also have the option of enrolling at the Bismarck Career & Technical Education Campus. In its “Best High Schools 2014” rankings, U.S. News and World Report listed Mandan High School, Bismarck High School and Century High School among the best in the nation.
